I've spent a lot of time in hospital recently. All is good, considering (and Beanlet is a wriggly little b*gger!). Latest on the list is a chipped ankle (crunched whilst running across the road to the GP, yeah go ahead and laugh!) - those ligaments just don't hold like they used to. Luckily I had a wonderfully kind radiologist today who, finding I was 27 weeks pregnant and unable to walk, summoned the consultant A&E doc upstairs to see me (rather than having to wait 4 hours to be told go and see them), to make sure I really needed an Xray (I did). Despite thankfully avoiding plaster (wouldn't have looked good with the wedding outfit!), I am cursing the fact I can't take anything stronger than paracetamol right now. Ouch.
So it was apt that I came across this website via a referrer on one of my 'regular reads' - duly added to the reading list, and forwarded to my medical friends.
Other news - have started my combination of annual/maternity leave, which is good timing, considering I am sofa-ridden for a while... I had a lovely lunch with colleagues and a really nice gift of some beeswax toiletries I'd had my eye on for a while, even more thoughtful as I'd last spoken of them 6 months ago and they'd remembered. Aww!
Now I've got to work out how I'm going to drive to the midwife on Thursday without using the clutch pedal. Ouch.
